Tarad Hill To Be Preserved

Last night, West Bradford Township approved the acquisition of a conservation easement from Brandywine Land Holdings Trust on Tarad Hill Farm. This action prevents the threatened residential development we all have feared.

As we have previously noted, Tarad Hill is a 134-acre farm that has both historic and environmental significance. This easement will protect virtually all the unprotected land on this property, which is approximately 65 acres. The remaining acreage is already under conservation easement with the Brandywine Conservancy. The new easement will be held by the North American Land Trust.

The transaction is expected to close shortly.

It Takes a Village

Marshallton Conservation Trust would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has reached out to voice their desire to see this farm protected. It made a difference.

We have a very special community and together we will continue to work toward enhancing the quality of life of our village and beyond for generations to come. Together we can preserve the past, protect the present, and plan for the future.
